office couple and is the former Chairman of the Math Dept. at BYU.

Our December Zone Conferences included training in the morning followed by lunch.  During lunch we watched part of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas Concert with Brian Stokes Mitchell.  We also enjoyed viewing our annual missionary DVD, comprised of photos taken by the missionaries during the past year.  Each missionary received a copy of that DVD as a remembrance.  In the afternoon we
celebrated the Christmas Season in the mission home while enjoying a rare treat - cans of rootbeer! We sang Christmas carols and each missionary received a special gift from President and Sister Baughman.

We celebrate birthdays each zone conference.  We always sing a birthday song and present Milka candy bars
as a little gift.  Above is Elder Runia, Elder Davis (the birthday boy) and Elder Laitinen.

Sister Baughman asked each missionary to make an ornament for the mission home Christmas tree.  Each ornament needed to have a photo of the missionary and his or her name on it.  In years to come, the ornaments will be a wonderful reminder to the Baughmans of all their great missionaries.

Below is one example:

Elders Kennedy, Nauman, Daybell and Bird with their Santa garland.
Our little tree all decked out with ornaments from the missionaries.
Some of them were very creative, to say the least!
Elder Ottley displaying the "missionary" Christmas stocking his mother made for President Baughman.
It included a white shirt, tie, dark pants and name tag.  Talk about clever!

President Erich Kopischke, our Area President, visited our mission in September.  All of the missionaries came into Budapest for zone conferences.  They loved being taught by such an inspired, dynamic leader.  Months after his visit the missionaries were still talking about his teachings and how they were applying them to the work.  The above photo shows President Kopischke (left) with President Baughman.
